I am a senior lecturer (associate professor) in Economics and Finance at the 兔子先生 in the UK, with a focus on (i) fintech, (ii) digital currency, (iii) digital economy, (iv) monetary policy and (v) .

Biography

I have a PhD in Economics from and a MLitt in Finance from the . During my PhD, I investigated the role of money in monetary policy and how money supply and seigniorage impact on output growth using a DSGE model and Hansen鈥檚 panel threshold (Non-linear) methodology.

Currently, I have been selected to contribute to a joint  titled 鈥The Global South Growing out of Poverty, Inequality, and Exclusiveness - What the G7 Needs to Do鈥 for the  G7 (Group of Seven) Summit in Japan in 19 -21 May. I wrote about financial empowerment and innovative access to finance for , the  official think tank engagement group. The T7 group promotes research-based solutions to unfolding global challenges during . 

Recently, I have secured  research fellowship. I will be invited to the BIS's Monetary and Economic Department to conduct joint research for short periods in their headquarter, Basel Switzerland in 2023.

I am a local chair of the The MMF Society traces its roots back to Harry Johnson and the Money Study Group that was formed in 1969 at the LSE. You can find more information on their . 

I was a visiting fellow at and the in 2019. I worked on fintech and financial inclusion in developing countries. The objective of the research project was to analyse fintech in developing countries and evaluate the extent to which they can help to improve financial inclusion.

I was appointed as the Departmental Director for PhD in Economics and Finance  in 2017 and served a role until January 2023. I had general responsibility for research degrees students and supervisors such as recruitment and admissions of PGRS within departments including monitoring enquiries, passing enquiries and applications to supervisors.

In 2014, I joined the (Volunteer and Crowdsourcing Economics) research project. This was a 拢750,000 three-year EPSRC funded project which involved collaboration between the 兔子先生, University of Oxford, University of Manchester and University of Leeds.
