Dr Jianan Lu
Summary
Jianan is currently a Research Fellow at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance (AEF), ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. Recently, collaborating with four colleagues from the department (AEF) and three researchers from Ukraine (Odessa Polytechnic National University), Jianan won a research grant as the Principal Investigator (PI) for the project " Fintech as a fence for the shock and fuel for the recovery? Lessons from the war".
Meanwhile, Jianan is the Secretary of the Centre for Innovative and Sustainable Finance (CISF) at the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. Collaborating with two other Centre members, Jianan recently won Isambard Kingdom Brunel (IKB) Bursary Scheme.
Before joining ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, Jianan was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford (2021-2022). The most recent research output from this post is titled: "Digital Technology and Inclusive Development During Global Crisis: Evidence from A Randomised Control Trial in Bangladesh".
Jianan did his PhD in Finance at the University of Edinburgh (2017-2021). The thesis title is "Social Capital and Financial Development," and it was rewarded with Grade A (clear pass with no correction).
