Conflict, Connection and Change: A Community Research Presentation by ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Mediation Service (PMS)
Come and Join ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Mediation Service and friends as they share the findings from their year-long Community Participatory Action Research project — exploring how conflict affects the health and wellbeing of people across ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
Date: Thursday 4th December
Time: 9.30am - 11.30am (venue open from 9am - 12noon for extra coffee/networking)
Location:
Over the past year, PMS has worked restoratively with residents, families, and professionals to uncover the hidden impact of conflict on daily life — from stress and anxiety to broken connections and community fatigue.
Now, they are ready to share what they have learned, and we’d love your help shaping what happens next.
This interactive session will:
- Present key findings from the research
- Open space for discussion and reflection
- Invite ideas on how we can turn recommendations into real action
We’re now exploring two exciting directions:
- Developing restorative training for individuals and organisations
- Continuing with restorative research that deepens our understanding of conflict and recovery
Your insight, experience, and curiosity will help shape this next steps. Whether you work in community services, health, education, or simply care about building better conversations — we’d love for you to join us.
This isn’t just a presentation — it’s a conversation.
Together, we can explore how restorative approaches can help ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú not just survive conflict but grow through it.
………and of course fabulous festive refreshments to gladden your heart!
