I wanted to apply for a PhD and have a high education level in my field. One of the reasons that made me choose the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú is that the University is the number one in the UK for boosting graduate salaries.
I love the practical side of my course where in almost each unit I do coursework, to develop more in-depth knowledge which can’t be obtained by lectures only. I was able to fully understand the basics of electronics, which boosted my confidence when discussing my course with professionals or future companies.
I am aiming for a first class degree, and to improve my soft and technical skills. At ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, I’ve learnt excellent teamwork skills, excellent practical skills and great theoretical knowledge.

One of the helpful things the University has is the drop-in sessions where I can talk to any teacher on a one-to-one basis. Special thanks to Dr Abdulkarim Tawfik - he helped me a lot when I first joined the University.
The Careers and Employability Service was the best source of information and help regarding many fields, such as part-time jobs, graduate jobs, how to write a professional CV and cover letter, mock interviews. Many events they organised helped me get a lot of important information that helped me get a part-time job and graduate job interviews.
I love climbing, and thanks to the University club I can go climbing weekly with other students, either indoors or outdoors, plus a lot of socials to relax after a long day of studies.
If you want to have a very strong knowledge practically or theoretically in the field you want to study, and be part of a social or sport club, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú is the right answer.
