Join us this March 2026 as we celebrate the diversity that makes our 兔子先生 community so unique.
Enjoy a month鈥憀ong programme of events, with plenty of opportunities to get involved. Some activities require tickets due to limited capacity, while others are open for you to simply drop in.
Each week in March will feature a dedicated theme and a flagship event for you to explore.

Flagship Event:
Holi Colour Run
Join us for the Holi Colour Run. A joyful celebration of colour, culture and community! Walk, jog, or sprint your way through bursts of vibrant powder and enjoy a feel鈥慻ood afternoon with friends.

Beyond Borders Cafe: Connected Spirits in Many Worlds
Join us for a relaxed multifaith panel where people from different spiritual and cultural traditions share their stories, beliefs, and ways of understanding the world. This is a space to listen, ask gentle questions, and discover how many worlds and perspectives shape life, meaning, and connection. Everyone is welcome! You can just listen or share and be part of the conversation.

Creative Calm: Crafting & Connection Session
Join us in person for a relaxed, hands鈥憃n crafting session where you can unwind and get creative. Enjoy tote鈥慴ag painting, calming colouring, and bracelet making. This informal drop鈥慽n is a perfect chance to take a mindful break, meet new people, and make something unique to take home.

Masterclass Talk (Series): TikTok Activism and True Crime
Join us for a series of quick, engaging talks showcasing real鈥憌orld research from across the creative industries, including Media, Architecture, Film, and Design. One highlight explores TikTok鈥檚 huge true crime community. Not the controversial amateur investigations, but how the platform brings together diverse fans who engage ethically and actively as viewers and creators.

One World Dance Fitness Festival
Get ready to move at our Dance Fitness Festival! Join us in Ravelin Sports Hall for a high鈥慹nergy mass dance session led by our Sport & Fitness team. Enjoy a fun, fast鈥憄aced mix of global dance鈥慺itness styles - from Latin and hip hop to Zumba and more. With each genre delivered in lively 10鈥15 minute slots.
This free event is open to all, but spaces are limited. Booking is required to secure your spot.

Public Lecture - Puppetry as a Global Practice. The Power of Puppetry
Join internationally renowned puppetry expert Dr Matt Smith for a globe鈥憇panning look at the powerful rise of puppetry. Discover how this art form is transforming theatres, classrooms, communities, and even supporting people in crisis. Matt will also introduce you to some of his puppets live, showing how performers bring objects to life.

Internationalisation of the Curriculum Round Table
Join our Roundtable on Internationalising the Curriculum. Discover how educators are embedding international perspectives into their teaching. Our guest speakers will share real examples from their own practice, offering insights into what works across different settings. Together, we鈥檒l explore both the challenges and opportunities of Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC) and highlight effective approaches that can inspire your own work.

Beach Treasure Hunt
Explore the beach in a whole new way. Participants will receive a quest sheet and set out in small groups to wander the shoreline, uncovering the different cultural connections and meanings people attach to the sea. Working together, you鈥檒l discover how one place can hold many stories, perspectives, and experiences.

Representation of Traditions in Ukraine鈥檚 Mass Creative Culture
This lecture explores how Ukrainian traditions shape modern creative culture: from fashion and ceramics to cuisine, art, and design. It examines how historical events revive traditions and how these influences now support Ukraine鈥檚 cultural diplomacy.

Masterclass Talk (Series): Colour in Film
Join us for a series of short talks on real-world research and interests in the creative industries! This talk will give you a look into how colour design and colour grading can influence meaning and emotion in film, how this reflects global and local styles, and how this is navigated when restoring historic film footage.

TNE Roadshow
This session will introduce the Strategic TNE Partnerships Office and its role in supporting and developing transnational education initiatives. It will highlight current international TNE projects and collaborations, and outline future opportunities focused on expanding the University鈥檚 global reach, strengthening governance, and aligning with institutional strategy.

Feel Good Fest
Aligned with University Mental Health Day 2026: Human Connection. Strong social relationships are vital for positive mental health. This event brings together internal and external services offering activities and information to support student wellbeing and help them connect with others. Free food and refreshments provided. Penning Ethnicty: Culture, Otherness, Decolonisation and Practice Research
This panel event brings together writers and researchers to explore how ethnicity can be represented in creative work ethically and respectfully. They will share insights and practical guidance inspired by Edward Said鈥檚 call for 鈥渘on鈥憁anipulative, non鈥憃ppressive鈥 approaches to writing about the Other.

Discover Languages
This day is designed for Year 11 and Year 12 Modern Foreign Language students to experience languages in action. They鈥檒l take part in a carousel of activities, including interpreting, translation and learning a new language, and hear from final鈥憏ear students about the benefits of studying abroad. Teachers can book groups, and Year 12 students may also book individually. Please note that Year 11 pupils must attend with their school.

One World Futsal Festival
Get ready for our 5鈥慳鈥憇ide Futsal Tournament at Ravelin Sports Hall! Sixteen teams. Group stages. Knockouts. One champion. Teams of 5鈥10 players are guaranteed at least six matches, with entry fees supporting referees, organisers, and venue costs.

Week 3 - Kindness around the world
Flagship Event:
Iftar
This two鈥憄art event brings our community together to learn about and celebrate Ramadan. Enjoy interactive cultural stalls, followed by an Iftar dinner in the Chaplaincy sports hall, where fasting students and staff can break their fast together. Everyone is welcome.

Biscuits and Bravery: Sharing stories and sharing perspectives
Biscuits and Bravery (B&B) provides a safe, facilitated space for UoP students to explore sensitive topics such as racism, xenophobia, misogyny and harassment. The inaugural session, which will focus on how communities can support marginalised groups, will be moderated impartially and conclude with clear actions for individuals, the institution and the community.
