Supporting our R&I Community
Developing and supporting our most valuable resource
Our strategy puts the development of our R&I staff – and anyone who supports, manages or helps to deliver our R&I– at the centre of what we do. We aim to develop internationally recognised research and innovation staff, to nurture our postgraduate researchers to become the next generation of research and innovation leaders, and to create a culture that stimulates, supports and rewards excellence.
We collaborate with researchers, academic staff, leaders and managers to provide a range of training and development opportunities, alongside a wealth of resources and guidance to help our staff gain skills and knowledge for their current and future roles. We also enable coaching and mentoring through our programmes, recognising the many benefits that this support can bring to individuals.
Successful research also requires supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our academic staff in recognition of the impact that working in the sector can have on them. We are working to enhance the resources and guidance offered through our wellbeing hub and our development programmes and workshops.
