Freedom of Information (FOI) promotes more openness among public authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This includes the University.
The (2000) gives anyone the right to request to see the information that we hold.
You can get information about the University in 2 ways:
1. View our publication schemes
Our publication schemes hold lots of information about us and our subsidiary companies.
Publishing and maintaining publication schemes is a requirements of section 19 of the Freedom of Information Act. Our publication scheme includes information that all Higher and Further Education institutions must make publicly available.
2. Make a Freedom of Information request
If the information you want isn't covered by our publication schemes, you can make a freedom of information request.
We'll usually send you the information you request within 20 working days. If we can't give you some or all of the information you ask for, we'll tell you why.
Complaining about a response to your freedom of information request
If you're unhappy with our response to your Freedom of Information request, you can complain or request a review of the decision in writing to the Vice-Chancellor.
In your request you need to explain why you think we should provide the information you want.
