1. Who we are and what we do

This class contains information on how ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Investments Limited (UPIL) was set up, including its legal status and contact details.

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Investments Limited (UPIL) is a limited company, which is a fully owned subsidiary of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.

UPIL was formed in 1994 and was dormant until September 2006. The principal activity of UPIL is the provision of student recruitment services in China on behalf of the University. UPIL doesn't employ any staff directly. The UPIL board meets twice a year.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, UPIL Board members are taken from University staff. They are:

This class contains information from the last 3 years relating to strategies and plans, performance indicators, audits, inspections and reviews.

This class contains information on how the organisation makes decisions.

 

Paper copies of the minutes of UPIL Board Meetings and of the Resolutions of the Board are available from the UPIL Company Secretary at paul.mould@port.ac.uk

These minutes won't include any confidential items of business.

5. Our policies and procedures

This class contains details of written protocols, policies and procedures for delivering UPIL services and responsibilities.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the University, UPIL is bound by University policies on matters such as complaints management, data protection and records management.

Details of these policies are available in sections 5.10–5.12 of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú publications scheme.

6. Lists and registers

UPIL doesn't hold, and isn't required to hold, any information in publicly available registers.

7. The services we offer

This class contains details of services offered by UPIL, including leaflets, guidance and newsletters. This is an extension of the first section, "Who we are and what we do".
